Brett grew up in a farming community in Cleveland, MS. His dad has worked in
Agriculture Distribution and Retail for many years, so he became intrigued with farming
at a very young age.
Brett began working for Ben Spinks, a crop consultant in Southern Ag, during high
school in the summer of 2008, and after graduation from high school in 2009, he
continued to do so during the summers throughout his time in college.
Brett graduated from Mississippi State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in
Agronomy and a concentration in Integrated Pest Management.
Brett started his consulting business with Southern Ag in 2017. He is a Certified Crop
Consultant in weed control, entomology, and pathology in the State of Mississippi. The
core crops that he is currently consulting on are soybeans, cotton, corn, and peanuts.
Brett currently lives in Starkville, MS and provides consulting services in East Mississippi
and the Mississippi Delta.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, his dogs, and following
Mississippi State Athletics.
