Phillip Hays grew up in Eupora, MS where farming and forestry are two major occupations. His grandfather owned a cattle farm and Phillip helped him work the business throughout high school.  After finishing high school, he attended Mississippi State University where he graduated in December 2014. He holds a B.S. in Agronomy with a concentration in Integrated Crop Management.

In 2010, Phillip started scouting with Bernie White and enjoyed working with farmers and helping them become more efficient. He has helped with variety trials and research and development trials and, in 2011, also started installing and servicing ag equipment. At Southern Ag Phillip is the Precision Ag Specialist, overseeing the ordering, installing, and servicing of ag equipment. He also fills in to perform variety trials, research, and development spraying.

Phillip currently lives in Europa, MS with his wife and growing family. He, also, has a small farm of his own where he grows corn and soybeans. In his free time, he loves to hunt and be outdoors.
