Ben Spinks grew up in the area around Clarksdale, MS. His dad was in the agriculture business so Ben had experience in the industry from a very young age. In the summers of ’98 and ’99 Ben worked for North Delta Ag Services as a Cotton, Soybean, Corn, and Rice Scout before attending MSU. While at MSU, Ben interned with Monsanto Company from 2000-2002 as well as working as a graduate assistant in research. He obtained his B.S. in Agriculture Pest Management in 2003 and went on to earn his M.S. in Agronomy with a minor in Plant Pathology in 2006. In 2008 Ben started working for Southern Ag as an Agricultural Adviser.
Ben has written numerous agricultural publications as well as giving presentations across the U.S. He is a Mississippi Licensed Crop Consultant and has won several agricultural awards and scholarships. He currently resides in Cleveland, MS and does most of his work in the surrounding area. In his spare time Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as well as hunting and fishing.
