Brian Montgomery grew up in Greenville, MS. Brian chose the ag business because he sees the American Farmer as the foundation for economic growth and security from the national perspective. Farmers face the most difficult perils of any other business and Brian wanted to partner and help them with the challenges of farming.

Brian has over 20 years of experience in the ag industry. He attended Mississippi State University and holds a Bachelors degree in Ag Pest Management and a Masters degree in Forestry with an emphasis in Remote Sensing. His career began working at MAFES in Stoneville, MS. He later started at John Deere Co. in their precision technology department. Brian worked for InTime Inc. and Helena Chemical Co., both in Cleveland, MS, before finally coming to work for Southern Ag.

Brian manages Alliance Ag Risk Management, a crop/risk management company that he co-founded. Brian’s experience with a diversity of businesses gives him a unique perspective concerning business planning and management.

When not working, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors and pursuing his personal passion: bow hunting big game. He also enjoys managing wildlife and turkey hunting.
