Hank Pantin grew up near Cleveland, Mississippi, and although he didn’t begin his professional career in agriculture, he soon realized it was a field he was passionate about pursuing. While attending the Precision Agriculture program at Mississippi Delta Community College, Hank began working under Dr. John Orlowski at the Delta Research and Extension Center in Stoneville, MS.

After earning his certification in Precision Agriculture, Hank gained hands-on experience working with Tyler Horn at Stoneville R&D throughout the 2018 season. His work focused on small plot research trials, where he developed skills in crop scouting, pesticide application, and field data collection.

In December 2018, Hank joined Indigo Agriculture as a member of the Field Sciences team within the R&D department, further expanding his knowledge and expertise in agricultural research.

In July 2024, Hank became part of the Precision Ag team at Southern Ag. His responsibilities include soil sampling, installation and maintenance of precision ag equipment, capturing machine data, and obtaining his drone pilot certification.

Hank resides in Greenwood, Mississippi, with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and chasing turkeys in the spring.
