Alanna grew up in Starkville, MS and went to Mississippi State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Engineering Technology and Business (AETB) and a Master’s in Weed Science. Her master’s degree focus was on the effect of auxin herbicide concentration and timing of exposure in soybean and cotton. Alanna has previous work experience with the Mississippi Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Plant Industry and Mississippi State University’s Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. She has 10+ years of experience of row crop research. 

Alanna joined Southern Ag Services in 2023 as their R&D Lead. She currently resides in Starkville, MS with her husband, Beck, and three children.  When not working, Alanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
