Reid Tackett grew up in Pontotoc, MS. Reid graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2017 with a B.S. in Agriculture Engineering Technology and Business (AETB) with a concentration in Precision Ag.

Reid worked at the Pontotoc Experiment Stations before being mentored by Jordan Collins throughout College and pulling soil samples for Southern Ag. He joined the Southern Ag Team consulting on his own in April 2018. He now consults in Pontotoc, Lee, Union, Prentiss, Calhoun, Webster, Desoto, Marshall, and Itawamba Counties in Mississippi. The main crops he checks are corn, cotton, and soybeans.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and going to ball games.
